The Associate Director for Research and Innovation will direct the coordination, development, planning, and implementation of all multi-disciplinary research projects of numerous international research, education, and exchange programs between the University of California and Mexican institutions of higher education. Catholicism in Struggle: Community, Clergy and the Impact of Vatican II in Latin America (Virtual) | Wednesday, October 28 at 3:30 p.m.
UC Riverside’s Center for Ideas and Society, the Latinx and Latin American Studies Program and UC MEXUS are co-sponsoring this discussion among international scholars on how the reforms of the Second Vatican Council (1962-65) have impacted Latin America. The panel will examine one of the most tumultuous stages in the recent history of the Catholic Church through the experiences of communities in Argentina, Mexico and Nicaragua.
